Getting a Traffic Ticket or a DUI can affect your insurance rate so it is important that you stay a good driver. It is not a good thing to have these things happen but it makes it even worse when our insurance rate goes up because of it. Remember that many insurance companies give you a better rate when you have a good driving record so when you have a bad one they do the opposite and raise your rates.
There are many pre-cautions that you can take when driving and trying to avoid having your insurance rate raised. You want to always make sure if you drink that you let someone else do the driving for you because it is too easy to go to a bar and have a few drinks and say I am fine then before you know it you are getting pulled over and it is too late.
You also want to make sure that you obey all the laws of the road so that you do not give them a reason to pull you over and give you a ticket for speeding or not stopping at a stop sign.
If we are going to own a vehicle then we are going to have the extra cost of insuring that car so we need to be careful when we are driving to make sure that we don't put ourselves in a situation were we have our insurance rate raised because of a ticket or DUI.
